  • Brighton Women's Centre
    Lists all services, including counselling, therapies and drop in sessions.
  • Care Co-ops – Women’s Drop-In Service
    The Care Co-ops Women’s Drop-In is a safe place to meet other women and to find out about other support and services in the city. Women of all ages who are experiencing a bad period in their lives, feel under stress or isolated or may have used mental health services are welcome.
    The drop-in is free, confidential, runs for 2 hours and takes place every week. There is no waiting list or expectation to attend every week.

  • National Women's Register
    An international organisation of women's discussion groups. Each group aims to provide its members with the opportunity to take part in stimulating discussions on a wide range of topics.
  • Oasis Project - substance misuse
    Brighton Oasis Project is a service that supports women who have a drink or drug problem.
    Women can face inequality getting help with their substance misuse: here the opportunity to look at their issues in an all women environment.
  • Rise
    A charity which supports women, children and young people affected by domestic abuse in Brighton & Hove and across West Sussex. Services can include: refuge accommodation, resettlement, crisis appointments, helpline, counselling, housing, legal and financial advice, solicitors appointments, support groups, play therapy, 1-to-1 support and training and preventative education. Rise was formerly the Women's Refuge Project.
  • Survivors' Network
    A charity set up by female survivors for female survivors of sexual abuse in childhood. Services provide support, listening, information, connections and space for women to use.
  • Threshold (BHT)
    Threshold offers services to women experiencing mental ill health and emotional distress, such as depression, anxiety, thoughts of suicide, self harm. Threshold services are targeted at women living on low incomes who are vulnerable and experiencing social isolation, for example, single mothers, women with experience of violence or abuse and carers.
  • Women's Aid
    Women's Aid is the key national charity working to end domestic violence against women and children. They support a network of over 500 domestic and sexual violence services across the UK.
  • Victim Support Brighton and Hove
    Provides information, practical help & emotional support for those affected by a crime. Information on police & court procedures, compensation & insurance matters. Area covered Brighton, Hove & Portslade.
