    A national charity that helps people aged 75 or older who are lonely, live at home alone and are unable to easily get out of the house unaided.
  • Brunswick Older People's Project (BOPP)
    A local project providing a wide range of social, learning and befriending opportunities for people over the age of fifty-five
  • Deafblind UK
    Deafblind UK is a national charity offering specialist services and human support to Deafblind people and those who have progressive sight and hearing loss acquired throughout their lives.
  • Helping Hands
    A support network providing practical and emotional support for the Brighton & Hove Jewish community.
  • LifeLines
    Lifelines is a local volunteer-led project which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of isolated and vulnerable older people by helping them access a range of activities and events.
    Activities such as a knitting club, cooking classes for men and dance classes are provided for people aged 50+ living in the areas of Queens Park, Tarner and Craven Vale. There are opportunities to be paired with a volunteer and be accompanied to activities.
    Volunteers must be aged 50+ and will receive training.
  • Neighbourhood Care Scheme
    Provides support to the local voluntary sector through running the City Volunteer Centre and the Performance Development Service. They manage a number of projects that improve the quality of life of disadvantaged people in Brighton and Hove.
  • Brighton & Hove Friends of the Earth
    Local voluntary group and part of the national Friends of the Earth network. Campaigns to improve the environment in our own backyard, as well as joining in with national and international campaigns.
