Local service that supports people with all aspects of immigration, health, financial and accommodation problems, as well as support with education, volunteering and employment.
- Black and Minority Ethnic Community Partnership
BMECP provides services and support to BME communities, individuals and families living in Brighton and Hove. - Brighton and Hove Citizenship and Nationality Team
Advice on the process of applying for British Citizenship, including a checking service for application forms and the arrangement of citizenship ceremonies.
- Migrant Helpline
Migrant Helpline offer support and advice for asylum seekers including access to UK Border Agency support.
- Money Advice and Community Support Services (MACS)
Advice and support with claiming benefits, budgeting, debts and other issues for people granted refugee status or leave to remain.
- Partnership Community Safe Team
This team works closely with the police to offer help and advice if people suffer racist and religiously motivated incidents, other forms of hate crime or anti-social behaviour.
- Refugee Council
The Refugee Council is the largest organisation in the UK working with asylum seekers and refugees. - Rise
Rise support women, children and young people affected by domestic abuse in Brighton and Hove. Rise services include, refugee accommodation, resettlement, crisis appointments, counselling, housing, legal and financial advice.
- Sussex Interpreting Service
Independent charitable company working to relieve the poverty of individuals from black and minority ethnic communities by providing community interpreting, communications services, confidential advice, assistance and information.
- Threshold (BHT) counselling & crèche service
The Threshold service offers counselling for female refugees and asylum seekers using interpreters.
